Caring For Family

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Proverbs 13:22

In the book of Proverbs 18:22, the bible tells us that: Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

In the book Genesis, we learnt that because of the sins of Adam and Eve, mankind was punished and cast out of the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:23) To Adam, this was his laid out punishment.

Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Genesis 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

To Eve:

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

You can see that man was charged with providing for his household. The scripture goes a bit further and says in 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. As it is said, any man can be a father, but it takes a special person who cares for his own whether biological or not to be a dad.
