"And the Lord shall inherit Judah his portion --- and shall choose Jerusalem again." (Zech. 2:12)
The Chosen Land
"The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me." (Lev. 25:23)
The Lord Gives the Land to Abraham and His Seed.
"Now the Lord has said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, --- and from thy father's house, unto a land I will shew thee --- And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land." (Gen. 12:1, 7)

Abraham Heads the Chosen Generation
"Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curseth thee: and in thee shall the families of the earth be blessed." (Gen. 12:1-3; 17:1-8; 22:16-18)
The Choice has Pleased the Lord
"For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people." (1 Samuel 12:22)
God loved Abraham, Isaac, Jacob
"And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt; To drive out nations before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day. Know therefore as it is this day, --- and consider it in thin heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else." (Deut. 4:37-39)
The Endurance of the Chosen Nation
"Thus said the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before me forever. Thus saith the Lord: If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off ALL the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord." (Jeremiah 31:35-37)
The Chosen to Obey the Lord or be Dispersed
"And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then will I walk contrary unto you also in fury; --- And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste." (Leviticus 26:27-28, 33)
Rebirth of the Chosen Cities Foretold
"Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the Lord, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished." (Jeremiah 30:10-11)
"Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, --- and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord. Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophecy and say unto them, thus said the Lord God; Behold, O may people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves. And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall he know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord." (Ezekiel 37:4-6, 11-14)
The Lord Promises to Restore the Desolate Land and Ruined Cities
"Thus saith the Lord God; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. And the desolate land shall be tiled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall says, this land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that which was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. --- Jerusalem in her solemn feats; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the Lord." (Ezekiel 36:33-38)
The Unity of the Re-established Nation
"Say unto them, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the sick of Joseph, which is on the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the sick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand." (Ezekiel 37:19)
"And say unto them, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring then into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; And one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into tow kingdoms anymore." (Ezekiel 37:21-22)
The Chosen Nation in the Latter Days
"--- come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Amlighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. And Edom shall be a possession, --- for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city. And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish forever. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwelling place, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive. And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this! And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also perish forever." (Numbers 24:14-24)
The Chosen Royal Line
"Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheep-cote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: And I was with thee whither-soever thou wentest, --- and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of great men that are in the earth. Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them anymore, as before time. And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make then an house. And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shall sleep with they fathers, I will set up thy see after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established forever before thee: thy throne shall be established FOREVER" (2 Samuel 7:8-16)
